Darrell Hyatt

Darrell Hyatt has dedicated his career to the area of Family Law.  He represents the epitome of experience and expertise. With the experience of being a Judge for 20 years and expertise that comes with being Board Certified in the area of Family Law, Darrell knows the law and how it is applied.

Born in Henderson and raised in Tatum, Darrell is the son of a pipe-fitter. The embodiment of pulling himself up by his bootstraps, he started his collegiate career at Kilgore College, working nights at the power plant. After graduation, he moved onto the University of Texas at Austin to receive both a Bachelor’s and Law Degree. Returning to Henderson a newly barred attorney, he took a job as an Assistant Prosecutor, working for Bill Ferguson, the elected District Attorney. After working as an Assistant District Attorney, he ran for the newly created County Court at Law of Rusk County and went onto to remain in office for 20 years prior to opening an office in Longview.

Darrell has prosecuted, defended and sat as the judge in thousands of cases. As such, he has developed an appreciation for the process in issues ranging from criminal cases to family law and probate.
